The aim of this page is to highlight potential future top-liners while they are still at the embryonic stage of their careers.

Most of the greyhounds featured will have run fast times at non-TAB and TAB circuits. Some will go on to be city class while others may, for a variety of reasons, fail to live up to the early promise they have shown.

SMART BETSY
(BOMBASTIC SHIRAZ X AWESOME BERGER)

A black bitch whelped in October 2006, she had her first race start in a heat of the Laurie Healion Maiden at Wentworth Park.

Leading from shortly after the start, she gave her rivals a galloping lesson, coming right away to score by Sixteen Lengths in the brilliant time of 30.18.

She is sure to aquit herself well throughout the remainder of the series and there are sure to be plenty more wins in store in the coming months.



FOXHILL BELLA

(PRIMO UNO X BERELLA BIANKA)

Trained by Denice Warren this November 2006 Black Bitch is also currently contesting the Laurie Healion series at Wentworth Park.

Coming from the rails alley she was impressive in winning her heat in the smart time of 30.34.

She displayed plenty of early dash in winning her heat, and she also looks to have a very bright future.

 



ASHBY CRIMES
(COLLISION X TOKEN CRIMES)

Trained at Nowra on the South Coast this Black Bitch, whelped in March 2006, has had Nine career starts for Five wins.

At her most recent run on July 26th, she was never out of trouble at Wentworth Park.

Prior to that effort she had won her previous Four starts on the Tab circuit.

Normally a fast begginer she won't take long to make amends for her recent defeat and can be followed with confidence.


TIGGERLONG PATCH
(PURE OCTANE X TIGGERLONG OLIVE)

Whelped in October 2006, this White & Black Dog has shown outstanding potential in his brief career.

At his initial race outing he led throughout to record a fast 30.09 Gosford victory in June.

He followed this up by again leading all the way to score a BON 30.24 win at his next start.

His most recent outing on July 19th resulted in a fourth at Wentworth Park. That was his first look at the tricky Glebe circuit, and he is sure to be improved by the experience.

Trainer Margaret Keys can look forward to many more wins from this promising youngster.

GRACEFUL AMY
(COLLIDE - AMY GRACE)


Whelped in April 2006 this Black Bitch has only had the Two race starts for Two impressive victories.

Her most recent win was at Richmond on December 28th where she recorded a smart 30.89 victory, streeting her rivals to score by Seven lengths.

She has the pace to handle most boxes and there seems sure to be plenty more wins in store.

 

BEAUTY STATE
(BLACK ENFORCER - LIL JEANIE)

A Black Bitch whelped in March 2006, she is a daughter of the promising young sire Black Enforcer.

Her career started with a Seventh at Maitland on December 20th, but she quickly showed that was not her true form.

At her next run at the Gardens on December 29th, she took control from the first turn, before coming away for a Nine and Three Quarter length victory in a near record 29.47.

It's rare for a Maiden having it's second start to get within 6/100ths of a track record, so it would seem she is destined for better things.

 

HANIFY'S IMPACT
(COLLISION X MISS HANIFY)

Whelped in May 2006 this Blue Brindle bitch has only raced twice for two best of day victories.

Her first win came at Lismore where she led throughout to score a 6 3/4length win in 24.23 on Dec 5th.

At her next outing on Jan 24th she was even more impressive, leading from shortly after the start to win by 8 1/2 lengths over 400 metres, running a near record 25.27.

While only a youngster her runs so far indicate that she will go on to much better things.

 

ASSASSIN JOURNEY
(WHISKY ASSASSIN X RICH JOURNEY)

A veteran of only one race start this Fawn bitch was whelped in October 2005.

She began her career on January 26th at Dubbo, where she scored by Three Lengths over the 313 metre trip.

Her time of 18.40 was the best of the day and was all the more impressive as she came from the Six alley.

The win impressed most local judges, who believe she has a bright future and is sure to be seen to advantage on the tab tracks in the near future.

 

PRETTY BOY ZINN
(EXCITE ABILITY - OH CALCUTTA)

A Brindle & White Dog whelped in March 2006, he is trained by Dean Turley at Leeville on the NSW North Coast.

A veteran of only Four race starts he boasts the fine record of Two wins and Two Thirds.

His wins include a BOD 22.91 Gold Coast victory, scoring by a comfortable Four Lengths.

He still appears to be learning what racing is all about so he should continue to improve with age and experience.

 

REPEATED
(HALLUCINATE X THAI AGAIN)

Owned and Trained by Breeder Julie Fletcher this June 2006 Black Dog is a close relation to former brilliant sprinter and now boom sire Bond.

At his first race start he gave his rivals a galloping lesson, scoring by Nine Lengths at Bulli in the fast time of 26.54.

The Youngster has obviously inherited plenty of the family ability and seems to have a very bright future.

SILENT BLAST
(BIG DADDY COOL X READY TO RISE)

Trained by leading country mentor Ken Staines, this November 2005, Red Fawn Dog already boasts an impressive record in his brief career.

He is already the victor in Seven of his Ten career starts, including Two at Wentworth Park.

His most recent win was over the 720 metre trip at Wentworth Park in a handy 43.21.

The fact that his trainer was willing to put such an inexperienced greyhound over a staying journey indicates that he believes Silent Blast has a very bright future as a stayer.

 

CAMEO COUNTESS
(PRIMO UNO X KUMTA LEE)

A Black Bitch whelped in June 2006 she is already displaying above average ability.

She began her career with a Third in a Nowra Qualy on Jan 25th in fair time.

At her initial race start she showed the benefit of that experience, when she jumped to the lead off the Five box at Dapto to score an impressive Eight Length victory in the smart time of 30.21.

She is sure to continue to improve with racing and her early speed should see her notch up plenty more wins.

 

CONJURE LOVE
(HALLUCINATE & MINT MOJO)

Trained in Queensland, this April 2006 Blact Bitch has displayed plenty of potential in her short racing career.

At her first race start, she finished fourth in a head of the rish Vince Curry Memorial before scoring an all the way win in her semi final.

The winning time of 31.64 (B31.03) on a wet track wasn't flash, but she is capable of better.

In that race she showed Great Early pace to set up a winning lead by the first turn, before holding off a strong challenge from the home turn to score a narrow but impressive victory.

The speed and tenacity she displayed in that race, suggests that there are plenty moe wins in store.

 

VELOCETTE
(BOMBASTIC SHIRAZ x TEXAN LADY)

Whelped in August 2006, this black dog has only faced the starter on five occassions for three impressive victories.

 

All three of his wins have been at Sandown Park and he has broken the 30 seconds barrier in each win.

At his most recent run he finished a good fourth to the very smart youngster Teaman Titch ( again at Sandown Park)

He does not turn two for another five months and this exciting youngster has the potential to develope into one of Victoria's best sprinters.

 

JIM BOB
(COLLIDE x PROVEN BOOTY)

Yet another promising youngster from victoria, this black dog was whelped in March 2006.

He began his career in late 2007 with three straight Shepperton victories including a first up maiden win in a best of day of 25.48.

Jim Bob returned from a two month break on 21st February to score by 7 3/4 length at Sandown in a fast time of 29.80.

Since then he has finished 7th at Sandown, after finding trouble in the early part of that race.

He is a youngster with plenty of potential and he will soon atone for his last start defeat.
